August update 2020
It was such a long time ago that I posted anything. Sometimes I get some e-mail about friends posting after a long time, so I'm guessing my friends will be getting these now too. Hello to You! Hope you are all okay and have a good summer - despite the situation.
Since my last post in January a few things happened, but nothing major. We had a full indoor paint refresh, after which by the clean-up we also selected stuff we didn't need anymore. It felt good to clean out stuff.
Then right in the middle of March the virus hit Hungary full force, so since then I'm working from home.
While I'm okay with just sitting, even though we have a garden, it was quite hard to occupy my Mom. In the end I got a good enough project: since last year we were in Japan she is quite charmed by Japanese gardens, so I planned a part of the garden as such. Well, I'm not a pro, but think that just after one look, it's easy to see what it wants to be, so I'm satisfied. It really helped to take my Moms mind of of things.
And now, I'm on my long holiday. Since now it's trendy to have your holiday in your own country, I can say for the first time that I'm following a trend and enjoying it as well. It started last Wednesday, we went to the Budapest zoo with one of my Aunts. It was fun - but due to my tiredness, I lost a part of the pictures I made. Still angry at myself for that.
20-21 was simple resting - while on Saturday my brother came home for lunch. It was a kind of name-day party we had together, while watching Shazam! (<= meh).
Then yesterday we went to Zebegény. It is a charming little town, with a museum for a famous painter (Szőnyi István), great view to the Danube bend, some nice churces, even a rock chapel. There is even a castle and a museum for shipping (though this was closed on Sunday) if anyone is interested.
In the past I loved to write here on LJ, not really sure why I stopped. I tried to take it on again and again, but always failed. So this time I'm not promising to write. When it happens, it happens.
