What happened in 2018

Dec 31, 2018 21:02

Those who are still on LJ: HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Wish you all the Best in 2019! <3

Again, haven't posted ina while. There was a lot happening in the last month, but I just couldn't get to my pc, or focus enough to write about it.

Dogs:
Wendy, Vándor and Uno are well. Currently they protect us from petards and fireworks. Adorable, even if they are quite loud. ^.^

Bad experience.
Work is one, but I think that's nothing new. I think the most stress came from not being able to move around much in December. I had an accident at the end of November, and hurt my left leg. Image how I got to presents, or help around the house, clean and play with the dogs... Also, humans are seriously not for just sitting or lying down. I was so restless, but moving around only hurt. Patt situation.

Confused
None

Surreal
Organized my Mom her trip to England, to check out the Chelsea Flower Show, Kew Botanical Garden, Tower of London, Stone Henge, Oxford, etc. and she even saw a Phantom of the Opera show. Quite proud of that.
Also plan a trip together with her for next year to Japan. I really look forward to that.

Made my World
This year I was on two weddings
One of my friends got a healthy baby boy.
Extended my Sailor Moon figure collection a lot

Home
Had a type of hedgehog invasion twice in a row. Thanks to our dogs and the vet it went without any big troubles.
We planned to renew our bathroom, but with other things happening it just didn't work out.
This last month was crazy. Our cleaner broke down, we had it fixed and now it's bad again after just 2 weeks. Heat broke at the start of December twice. Car battery needed to be exchanged. The bath sink almost fell down, warm water pipe broke in the bath, the toilet water seal broke (making it twice in the row flooding the bath). It just was a lot.

Health
Began to drink simple fruit tea and only little Coca Cola Zero. Also found a - so called - military diet, that worked, but then the accident and Christmas holiday came, so now I'm back to before how I started. ^^" Still, it worked, so I'll get back to it in the new year when I can move better.

Travel
Stayed in the country this year. In August I took the time to visit a few places I was curious about, and also some place that I wanted to re-visit.
The new ones where
- the Lake Tisza Ecocenter - Giant Freshwater Aquarium of Hungary.
- the Budakeszi Zoo - saw a giant white deer, looked awesome!
- Sárköz - a landscape of Hungary, that was famous for it being the most wealthy in the past. We went though because of the beading style of that region, that my Mom is interested in.
- Christmas house Gödöllő - got some beautiful decoration for this years tree to fit the white / gold theme. ^^
Revisited places: the Budapest Zoo, Vácrátót Botanical Garden, Tropicarium, Festival of Folk Arts, Summerfest in Százhalombatta and a few anime-cons as well.
Exhibition
The one with Frida Kahlo was awesome! If this goes into your neighbourhood, do yourself a favour and check it out! I was surprised how interesting her view would be.
Saw an Asian Goddess exhibition too, but it wasn't organized for my taste/logic.

Fun
Anime
Akagami no Shirayuki-hime OVA - not from this season, but I found it this year, and it's adorable sweet
Back Street Girls: Goku Dolls - funny point of view how idol management works
Card Captor Sakura: Clear Card Hen - it was a disappointment for me.
Chio-chan no Tsuugakuro - both the anime and manga have the same vibe, really funny!
Death March kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyousoukyoku - other world story, next to Smartphone it was a bit of a let down, but the light novel might prove to be better
Hataraku Saibou - a Once Upon a Time... Life story re-made by Japan. What made my world was when I saw a real doctor comment on it on youtube.
Hyakuren no Haou to Seiyaku no Valkyria - another other world story, this one is really bad, made me disappointed in these stories for a few weeks after watching it.
Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu - the manga is not that bad, but in anime the harem stuff gets really into the face.
Kakuriyo no yadomeshi - in a way this is also an other world story, focused on food and how it connects people.
Koi wa Ameagari no You ni - romantic story, other then the end I really liked it.
Lost song - awesome story, character development and music, def. worth watching!
Magic Kyun! Renaissance - again, not from this year, but I watched it now. Guilty pleasure anime rlz!!! ^^
Natsume Yuujinchou Roku - I know it's not 2018 anime, but when though the whole 6 seasons at last. That's an achievement for sure. ^^
Overlord II-III. - I loved the ending song of Overlord III. Really it just lifts my spirit. ^^
Phantom in the Twilight - watched cause of guilty pleasure, unfortunately not that great.
Planet with - it is a good anime.
Sanrio Danshi - guilty pleasure for sure
Satsuriku no Tenshi - interesting, thrilling start. The end was quite lame for me though.
Soredemo Sekia wa Utsukushii - this is an awesome story. I like the characters, the story, the music, the graphic... it's just a great anime. Watch it.
Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken - the anime is still ongoing, and a few of my friends watching it like it, but for me it's quite a let down next to the manga.
Tsukumogami Kashimasu - somethimes it just feels good to watch something calm.
Yume Oukoku to Nemureru 100 Nin no Ouji-sama - guilty pleasure anime, let down, unfortunately.

Manga
Aiya Kyu Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari - Shield hero. Really awesome story. I heard there will be an anime somewhere now, but just can't believe it will be even close to the manga. That's really exiting with great character development and the plot is awesome!
Genjitsushugisha no Oukokukaizouki by Satoshi Ueda - other world story
Hori-san to Miyamura-kun by HERO - cute and romantic
Isekai Cafe Kaiten - other world, with a girl, who opens a cafe.
Jaryuu Tensei by Hashimoto Yuushi, Seto Meguru - other world story again
Komi-san wa Komyushou Desu by Oda Tomohito - really adorable comedy-romance
Konjiki no Moji Tsukai by Yuusuke Ozaki; Sui Tomoto - other world story
Kumo desu ga, nani ka? by Kakashi Asahiro - both fun and exiting story about a high school girl that gets reincarnated as a spider in another world. Really love to read how she thinks of her evolution
LV999 no Murabito by Iwamoto Kenichi - there are possibilities in every type of person.
Monokuro Shounen Shoujo by Fukuyama Ryoko - romantic story, for me with disappointing ending
Rokudou no Onna-tachi by Nakamura Yuji
Seijo no Maryoku wa Bannou desu - really loved the light novel, and the manga follows it quite well too.
Shinka no mi Shiranai Uchi - other world story, with some character development
Shirokuma Tensei by Houki Kusano - reincarnation as a polar bear. X3
Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken - reincarnation as a slime. The manga is brilliant.
Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu by Azumi Kei, Matsumoto Mitsuaki - really good other world story!

Asian drama / movie
Not much this time. It was mostly my Mom watching these.
Hwayugi - A Korean Odyssey - I wished it would be like Goblin, but it wasn't. :(
Laugther in Waikiki/Welcome to Waikiki - really funny story.
My ID is Gangnam beauty - it is cute, romantic, and also has some message to young people about what beauty is. Also read the manhwa
Rich Man - a remake of the Japanese Rich Man Poor Women. Not as good, but longer, so they have some time to develop the characters. Doesn't help much, but they try. ^^"

Movies
Hulk world - cartoon remake of Hulk World War, a disappointment. :(
I feel pretty - it has a good message, even if it tries to be a comedy
Jab Harry Met Sejal (2017) - it was a surprise when I got to know that this was partly playing in Hungary
Jumanji (2017) - a good Jack Black film. Another surprise.
Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom - it was quite bad, unfortunately.
Life of the Party - I do think Melissa McCarthy is talented, but the characters she plays is really always just one dimension. Also don't like obscene stuff, because just being there it's just not funny.
Loving Pablo - this was interesting / entertaining to watch. Due to that I saw a few other gangster stories.
Pacific Rim 2 - really-really bad.
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri - again, not from this year, but I really liked this one.
The Greatest Showman (2017) - the music is good, even if the story/character is questionable.
The Shape of Water (2017) - interesting story. The hint about 2018 being a year of monster lovers must be true. X3
I know that Antman2, Aquaman, Deadpool 2, Infinity War, etc. came out, but I am so bored by all that I just can't watch it anymore.
Surely watched Hallmark a lot, and some romance stories from Netflix too, but I just don't want to list every one. ^^" It would be a lot.

Youtube
Mostly went with ASMR to relax at work. It really helps if you get used to the - in your face - part.
Once I got recommended by youtube to watch a Hacker who scams a scammer, and fell down a rabbit hole. There are a lot of people who try to fight scammers, and they are really entertaining too. Jim Browning and Kitboga are two I can def. recommend.

Game
Cinderella Phenomenon - free game, with some fairy tale storyline, can def. recommend it
Don't starve - after I got the hack out of it, I couldn't stop playing ^^
Hatoful Boyfriend - got this from a friend as a joke, and played the whole thing though in one day. X3
Shattered Planet - again, after I figured what to do, I really enjoyed the collecting and tasks
Stardew Valley - first half of the year was this game. I sometimes still go back to change my farm view.
On the phone I first went with Magicarp Jump, and now am into Animal Crossing pocket camp. ^^

Books
Not that much big books, but I went for light novels
Realized that I'm really into other world stories, and began to look for that both in anime/manga. Then I got my hands on some light novels, and still am in the process of reading those. There are really so many types, I'll have to make a separate tag for those for sure! Really these were my enjoyment though December.

Stage play
Billy Elliot re-visited twice, once with my Mom and once with colleagues.
