I think I mentioned it somewhere before, that I plan to watch all films that I can get my hands of by some actors, and Mark Ruffalo was a first. To be true, I had trouble with almost a decade worth of his movies. He started - like most actors - on the sideline, in horror movies, and not many of those got to Hungary.
Mirror, Mirror 2: Raven Dance (1994)
Marley and her mentally challenged brother Jeffrey find A mysterious mirror hidden in a church orphanage. They don't realize at The mirror fulfils their innocent wishes - but gains more and more power over them too. Mark Ruffalo plays Christian, who wants to charm Marley, and gets involved in the mystery of the mirror too. It is quite surprising to see him in such an early role, where he already has the talent I like him for.
There goes my Baby (1994)
Couldn't get my hands on this one, but I know that it wants to be about a bunch of graduate high schoolers in a time of political change. The main roles are with Noah Wyle - I only know him as the ER guy X3 - and Dermot Mulroney.
Mirror, Mirror III: The Voyeur (1995)
Since his character, Christian died in the 2nd part he gets another role, as Joey. This part is full with erotic scenes, that does not help with the suspense. Not to say, the monster in the 2nd episode was so lame, it just pulled the fangs of the Mirror, Mirror series for me.
The Destiny of Marty Fine (1996)
Couldn't get my hands on this one.
The Dentist (1996)
Ok, this one plays with our fear of the dentist, not sure if I would call it a thriller or horror though. This doctor begins to hallucinate that the teeth of his patients are rotten and begins to attack them. Mark Ruffalo plays the manager of a model who gets attacked.
The last big thing (1996)
Simon Geist wages war against all of modern American popular culture. Geist starts up a magazine called "The Next Big Thing" which he uses to confront and insult upcoming actors, comics, models and rock bands.
On the 2nd Day of Christmas (1997)
A Christmas movie where he plays a composer-turned security guard, who needs to look after a shoplifting woman and her niece though Christmas. I saw this one many-many times already. ^^ It's as cheesy as a Christmas movie can be, but I still liked it.
Houdini (1997)
Again, could't get my hands on the film, but know that Mark Ruffalo plays the brother of Houdini, Theo and he has the idea to start as magician..
Today I could only get this far, but it was a long week and I need some good sleep. The weather turned, so maybe we won't have such a hot night as the last few days, which could help.
