At what point does staying true to yourself push the limit of being worth the risk?
When it would make people see you so differently that you could turn into a victim, is it still worth it?
If you risk losing everything because the wrong people don't understand, is it still worth it?

Staying true to your convictions and beliefs is more important than what other people think of you.
If you hide what you really think, then you really have lost everything that is important to you.

But when what other people think of you has the power to affect your life and livelihood, does that still hold true? Should some things not be kept secret for the sake of your own well-being?
Reply
You shouldn't let other people hold that power over you. Period. It's demeaning to oneself to allow others to control what you think and say and feel.
What do you mean?

I suppose people are the ones complicating this for me in the first place.

Then eliminate them from the equation, they're doing nothing more than making things difficult for you.

I suppose so.
It's easy to say that, but not quite so easy in practice.

I know you're a stronger person than you let on.
I have faith in you.

Thank you, 'Thena.
