He gave me the new Black Book and recommended I use it for more than just contacting him. I would think that was their intended purpose, but apparently people use them now to spend hours talking to each other. I don't know how it caught on as it did ( Read more... )

Same old, same old, really. Other than those Freya worshippers giving us a bad name again, there hasn't anything out of the ordinary. Some grumbling when the inspections went up to three times a day, relief when they went back to . And of course, old Temelerrem up to his usual outrage. He's been ranting about the inconvenience of random checking and how unfair the entire system is to anyone who'll listen. Plus he spent a day bickering back and forth with Lady Gidon about civility and if it was necessary to have the crusaders watching over us, and the like. If only he could actually think about it and realize they have good reason to be so suspicious of us. At about the same time, Malika suggested that the wizards could police themselves with the help of crusaders, instead of crusaders doing it entirely on their own, but I don't think anybody was really listening.

Basically, it's the usual - people grumbling about inspections, Temelerrem spewing fire about injustice and oppression.

So, how have you been, how was your trip?

You and I both know what would happen if the Wizards were given that much control of their inner workings. It's good to know that we're on the same page. I just hope it doesn't prove too difficult to stop some renegade magic users from turning that page.

Temelerrem has always been a ...troublesome individual. I fear the day he actually gets what he's seeking.

I hope that eventually the Wizards will cease their complaints and come to the same realization you have. I hope that with time you will succeed in helping the other to see the light.

As for me, my trip was without incident. I was asked to escort an aged Priestess to Morroc so she could visit her son. The place is full of thieves, as you could imagine, so it was my job to keep her safe. Thankfully, nobody was crazy enough to rob an old lady right in front of a Crusader.

As long as Lady Gidon is around, there's no worry about Temelerrem making too much trouble. She'd fight him with her last breath, I'm sure.

Glad to hear your trip went smoothly - any thief who tried something near you would surely regret it.

Heh, that she would. I'm just thankful everything's back to normal now and no permanent harm was done. Progress can be, at times, slow and frustrating, but we share the same goal, and I will do my best to help us see this objective reached one day.

That would be quite a sight to behold, wouldn't it? I like to think they know better than to trifle with people like us, although With my skills in the holy arts and your [pause] magical prowess, it'd be nothing short of amusing to witness.

I hope this would be a severe warning to those who wish to indulge in these practices as well. They are not what a wizard should stand for.

Indeed they are not.

The books are faster than the regular mailing service. Who wouldn't take advantage of it?

Ahh, you make a valid point.

Very well. Talking to the public will give me something to do on those oft long and boring Peco rides.

You have done more than enough missions for while. Take a break. You deserve it.
