I'm not going to create a character journal until I'm accepted. Is that all right?

Your name: Kate, or K-chan
Your LJ (or any other blog/website you'd like listed): http://www.madameotaku.wordpress.com is my review blog.
MSN/AIM/Yahoo!IM/other means of contact:
Days/times you'll most likely be available:

Character you'd like to play and the series they're from: Orihime Inoue, Bleach
Use three words to describe your character's personality: Bubbly, sensitive, naive
Describe what their special powers/talents are:
Basically: she summons six fairies from her hairpins. They work in different combinations to different effects, and they are also influenced by her emotions- i.e., her power is stronger when she is more confident and self-assured, but when she's worried or doubtful of herself, they manifest themselves more weakly. The basic ability of these fairies (called the Shun Shun Rikka) is to deny reality. Look, I don't get it either. You got a problem, take it up with Kubo-sama, not me.
Provide a brief bio of your character's canon history (keep as spoiler-free as possible, please):
Orihime came from, let's just say, a bad family situation. It's never expanded upon much in the manga, but from what I can gather, her parents were never very kind to her or her older brother Sora, who was fifteen when she was born. As soon as Sora was a legal adult, he ran away with his sister and raised her by himself. They lived together for nine years, and both were content with this situation, though outside of family life, Orihime had enough problems of her own. She was often teased by other students in her class, especially in middle school, because of her hair and her difference.

Orihime's life changed drastically when she was twelve years old: Sora died in a car accident. It was an incredibly painful event, as you can expect from such things, for her. The morning before he died, Sora gave his younger sister a pair of hairpins, but Orihime refused to wear them, saying that they were childish and silly. Ever since her brother's death, she has worn these hairpins as a tribute to him.

Orihime's bullying troubles continued until she met Tatsuki Arisawa, a tough, protective girl in her class who soon became her best friend. Tatsuki helped her defend herself, and Orihime hopes to somehow return that.

I'll be playing Orihime taken from right before the preparations to go to Soul Society, meaning that she'll just have discovered her powers, and may not be able to control them. Let the bubbliness ensue!
