The only true language is art. The only true comprehension of mood, tone, and feeling can be conveyed through music or colours, images, etc. Language itself is very dry. It has formed due to necessity. It was spawned through business, and security. If all of our basic needs were met without verbal interaction being absolutely necessary, language would be superfluous. We would tell the stories and epic contemplation of our souls silently, yet saying so much with a melody or a paintbrush. In this sense music is silent since words do not equal music, only recently have intelligible lyrics been installed. When I listen to music I am not analyzing it with words so I can from there comprehend a specific fleeting mood or a particular emotion. It is that feeling or mood in and of itself. Poetry is only art when this is accomplished. When the words are so vivid they no longer exist, when the entirety of it only offers primal energy and beauty or malformation, then it is art. Art is silent because there are no words for it.
