Day 13 → A fictional book
The Dark Half by Stephen King.
Since receiving three boxes full of Stephen King books from my mother-in-law, I've been reading those for the most part as of late. This one will be the last one for a couple of months, I think. I love Stephen King, but man...six books in a row starts to get to you. I have read this one before, many years ago, and liked it a lot.
Thad Beaumont had a "tumor" removed when he was 11 years old. The doctor who did it discovered that it wasn't an actual tumor, but likely a twin. They removed an eyeball, mouth and other things. He is a writer who has written two books under his own name and four books under a pen name, George Stark. After a blackmail attempt by an avid Stark fan who discovered that Beaumont and Stark were the same person, Thad went public with the information and "killed" George Stark. He planned to continue writing under his name only. After that decision, a grave is disturbed and the folks involved in "killing" Stark are being murdered quite viciously. It seems as though George Stark has come to life!
And I'm not telling the rest because that would be a spoiler.
The sparrows are flying.
