When we visited Scotland in May I brought back my father's old Eumig P8 cine projector and a large number of 5" reels of film. My father bought his first cine camera in 1959 when we were living in Nyasaland (now Malawi). You'll have to ask Jase about Kodachrome slides - I just assumed they were diamond impregnated with Everlastingum and steeped in the raggedy ends of rainbows ....

A lot of my dad's old photos from the late sixties and throughout the seventies were taken on Kodachrome slide film. Not only did it capture colour extremely well, it hasn't degraded in the same way that traditional prints from the time have. I'm no expert, but I know that for decades, many photographers swore by it.
