Where does bitchiness originate?

People get cranky sometimes. I realize this is a fact of life for BOTH men and women. But where the fuck do some people get-off lashing out at those around them?

To illustrate, let me summarize the past hour of my life.

My significant other decided to have a short 2-hour nap prior to us boarding the train for Halifax at 2:15am. Lucky for her, she had some extra time in our busy day and managed to pack everything for herself late this afternoon. Myself, on the other hand, was busy with more important things and was unable to pack my belongings for the train ride home.

Keeping the above in mind, note that around 9:30pm, the significant other goes to bed. She knows I still have quite a bit of packing to do. She is also aware of my allergies and asthma being rather difficult today with the air quality and the damned humidity. I offer to pack my belongings later (just prior to leaving) but she says, "No, it's okay. Do your packing now."

So I finish packing everything shortly after 10:00pm and she invites me into bed. She complains two or three times that she has a headache. No problem, I give her some advil and water--she heads back to sleep. Unfortunately for me, I'm coughing and having a very tough time getting to sleep. She, also, cannot sleep due to her headache and my coughing.

Around 11:45pm, she stirs, inquires as to my well-being and then offers to go for a short midnight walk with me around the deserted, muggy streets of Rimouski. We go, she complains about two or three other peripheral things and WHAMO! It's all my fault. If I just packed my things earlier (how about last Wednesday? Is that good for you? Four days before leaving? Yeah, okay...)

Anyway, it's just all my fault. ALL MY FAULT.
