Inventories at super speed

Me and Laura whizzed through the inventoring today and nearly completed an entire row of the roller racking. Today I saw:
* A (rather heavy) 1940s suitcase full of one man's army kit - included everything from the uniform to the smaller items that tend to get lost like mittens.
* Victorian(?) theatre costumes for a play set in the 1740s (I'd love to know what the play was, the costumes were exquisite!)
* Victorian lace and modesty panels.
* Victorian bodices (one 1870s, one 1880s one late 1890s) the youngest in mint condition.
* A box of working mens gaiters and some spats.
* A box of homemade embellishments (1920s to 1940s) including cloth flowers, feather arrangements and a strange orange chenile spider-worm thing.
* One 1690s shoe which we were able to reunite with another 1690s shoe found earlier in the inventory process - a good result!
* And my favourite: two day dresses with matching jackets in watered silk - one mauve and one dusty pink. The donation record says they were worn in 1945, but they look inspired by the 1947 New Look. The silk was magnificant and in excellent condition.
(I got a picture of the 1600s jerkin and tried to post it, but LJ is not recognising my formating - I'll try again).
