Norman costume
Everything is going well at the Castle. I am learning a new tour called 'Castles as Homes' - this tour is special because it is a costumed one! At last! Alas the costume required is Norman, which I know very little about.

The costume volunteering is also going well, recent discoveries inventoried included a Nazi flag looted in Africa, a Victorian cloth (c1880) showing what life would be like in 1980 (they got the shoulder-pads right!) and umpteen sweet little Christening gowns from different eras. I am also packing bobbins of all different shapes and sizes.

I feel it is time for new glasses - that'll hurt the bank balance, but is necessary.
