Small scale sewing project:

Adjusting the waistband on a pair of trousers.
*
1. Put the trousers on and measure how much you want to take off.
2. Pick the waistband off at the back only (This means no fussing with altering the buttons or zips).
3. If it is a small adjustment (2" or less) take it out of the back seam.
4. If it is a larger adjustment (more than 2") take it from the side seams and the back.
5. Sew everything back together.

The trouble with costuming is that modern clothes suddenly seem very ill fitting.
