Not personally, but I make it a point to know the faces in the school. His father's murder... Before, the murders hadn't touched the kids. Now it has, if a degree removed.

I'm furious on behalf of everyone who's been killed. Give me an honest fight to all this skulking around and torturing people for no reason.

Yes, we all are. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the killing. It's almost like a sport...

Any thoughts on how they might've gotten past protection charms?

There are only two ways the charms could have not been tripped. Either some one very powerful wizard disarmed them, then put them back up, or some one the wards were set to let in came in first and convinced some one to take them down.

A curse breaker working for Gringotts would probably be able to make it past the wards, but getting by with out setting them off is another matter.
