Fingon is feeling better! Clean clothes and family gatherings do things for you!

So he's sitting downstairs and chilling on the couch, flipping without interest through a book and hoping some people show up. Because, after all, it's lovely to see cousins family. Despite the nasty othercousinthings wandering around.

Have a very nasty cousinthing.

He'll be tiptoing around carefully, trying to be inconspicuous so he can avoid the annoying KingCousin like the plague he is.

It's unfortunately not very efficient, because it's completely counter-nature.

Fingon looks up. And can't not acknowledge him.

"Caranthir," not quite warily. He was mostly all right last time.

Ah darn it. Just when we almost managed to avoid a possible diplomatic incident.

"Fingon." Pause. Bow.

Ack, maybe his brother told him about that awful loss of temper. Then again, he was coming at us with his stupid little sword.

Yes, he did. And that's why he's a little more ticked off at you than usual.

"I don't suppose you've been talked to about your...responsibilities, have you?" Since he knows Cara doesn't like Artanis.

"I beg your pardon?"

Bluntly, "There are too few of us here to risk anyone getting killed by each other's hand."

I.e., much as I hate you and your brood, I'm going to deal with it and not murder anyone, and neither are you, Kinslaying bastard.

"Then I suggest you tell your little brother to keep his poking stick away from me." Flatly.

In Cara's defense, that was pretty much the onset of his interaction with Argon - the kid drew his sword on sight.

Stubbornly, "I'll keep an eye on Argon."

A satisfied grunt. "Do. I try to keep myself under control, but provocation doesn't help."

Don't push him, Cara. He gives him a nasty look. "I'm not sure it was entirely unjustified."

"Greeting someone with a drawn weapon does not count as proper etiquette, Your Majesty."

Stiffly polite, but it has an edge.

"As I said." Tightly.

Cara bows, stiffly.

"Will there be anything else?"

"No, thank you." I don't want to talk to you more than I have to.

He doesn't loathe Cara quite as much as Tyelko, but he's definitely down there.

A stiff nod, then, and Cara goes on to his business - probably more training and wood hacking.

Fingon and his brother give him the creeps. Thankfully, he does have a sister that he likes.

Speaking of which, we really do need to intro her. XD
