Fingon is feeling better! Clean clothes and family gatherings do things for you!

So he's sitting downstairs and chilling on the couch, flipping without interest through a book and hoping some people show up. Because, after all, it's lovely to see cousins family. Despite the nasty othercousinthings wandering around.

And we might assume this is shortly after Phedre was weirded out by Tyelko - she'll be hugging herself on the windowsill, not noticing Fingon just yet.

He pauses and bows to her anyway, standing. "Lady," politely.

She curtsies back, very politely. "Lord."

She averts her eyes instinctively - he's tall and dark haired, just like that strange fellow.

This one, however, seems much less twitchy. Good.

Oh he is. And much less about to go careening into madness. "You are?"

"Phedre no Delaunay," she replies, eyes still averted. She hesitates, she's about to give her title, because he is a Lord, visibly, and then she does, because she needs to hang on to something, anything, "Comtesse de Montreve."

"Findekano, High King of the Noldor," he says with a slight inclination of his head.

She curtsies again, deep and very respectful.

"Your Majesty."

Eyes averted. Phedre's courtly ways are still impeccable.

He gestures her up, slightly distracted, but still polite.

She straightens up, then, and waits patiently.

He looks back. "Lady of the Edain, I am curious - my cousin tells me there is no one leader of your people here, is that correct?"

"Edain, My Lord? Pray tell me what you seek, for I am D'Angeline, and do not know the peoples you are referring to."

"The Second-Born. Men."

Seeming a bit confused by her confused.

"Pardon me, My Lord, I'd not heard this term before. You are not... Edain, then?"

"...no," as if it's a stupid question.

"Then pray tell, what do you call your people?" And she's remaining very polite and courteous, but she doesn't like that tone. At all.

"The Eldar," proudly, "Firstborn of Iluvatar."
