Grateful to have found this site after scouring the Net for info on the fabulous Vali.
First saw her book over as an impressionable teen a decade ago in the bookshop I worked at...stunned by the artwork and the photos...the wild woman atop a donkey in the fog, drawing by candlelight in a gilded cage surrounded by jewel-teared Madonnas. Years later, the name came to my mind "Vali Myers." I found Sheldon Rochlin's "Witch of Positano" VHS on the Internet and later, the book again on some dusty shelves. Two slices of Vali-life but not enough.
Hope one day to visit the museum in Australia. If anyone's been, can you post a description here?
