ASPEN and VALI
Aspen, a multimedia magazine of the arts was originally published from 1965 to 1971. Each issue of Aspen was delivered to subscribers in a box, which contained a variety of media: printed matter in different formats, phonograph recordings, and even a reel of Super-8 film...
And each issue had a specific theme. Well , Issue number 9 plumbed the art and literature of the psychedelic drug movement... and features a Letter to Diane and Shelley from Vali (with text & drawings by Vali, photos by Diane Rochlin) .
Check it out , the pictures are regrettably tiny and some have apparently been left out but it's wonderful anyway. And read more about Aspen from the first link, the idea is mind blowing. The site is a good archive, featuring sound clips etc.
