Well, guys, I guess two months between updates isn't too bad....well, maybe it is, but it's okay because it's me. Hahaha, yeah, I know I'm special. Anywho, the mood struck me to update the old blog so I decided to rattle down what's on my mind....which isn't really a whole lot, come to think of it. School has been....well, school. Classes suck, professors get on my nerves and homework is a bitch. That's how it is for all college students though so I'm not very unique, in that regard. I'm skipping my 9:10 class tomorrow since it's only Eastern Philosophy with O'Brien, so I won't be missing very much. My 10:20 got cancelled and I figured my time would be better spent sleeping than listening to some obscure references to Hinduism, between a hearty supply of very off-topic jokes. My grades are so-so...some classes are going better than others, but I'm only irritated with a couple of classes. The grades in both are above B's, though, so I can't complain too much. I'm hopeful I can bring them up over the remainder of the semester and make them A's but if not, it isn't that much of a loss.
I'll be a busy little guy for the next couple of weeks....my weekends are pretty much planned out. This weekend, Saturday will find me attending RenFest (a festival dedicated to reenacting certain Renaissance cultural elements *blah blah blah blah*.....) which will hopefully be a nice change of pace. I think it's the same one we went to in high school but it'll be better this time since it won't be set up for high school students, which means they'll be breaking out the swords and all the cool stuff. Suffice to say, it'll be pretty exciting. Sunday, however, is a bit wilder. Chelse, Kendall, Rachel (possibly) and I will be going up to Magoffin County to go to a surprise party my family (certain members, that is) is holding for my grandma. It'll definitely be an occasion to remember since I think they're inviting almost everyone we know. My grandma's house isn't that big though, so I'm curious as to how they're going to actually do it. It'll be nice though, since Chelse will get to meet the rest of my family and their friends, and Kendall and Rachel will be there too so I won't feel totally out of place. My grandma doesn't like surprises though so I don't know how she'll react to it....hopefully it won't be too big an occasion for her. All in all, I'm looking forward to it.
Next week will involve classes while the following weekend, I'll be going home on Sunday for my semi-unformal birthday celebration...basically, it'll be me and the family, and Chelse possibly, sitting around singing hurrahs for me turning 21. I'm looking forward to it too, since it'll give me another chance to spend time with my uncle and grandma who I rarely see nowadays.
The next weekend is the kicker....Friday, the 28th is the Honors House lockin, so I'll probably be there for the biggest part of the night. I get caught up on my sleep Saturday only to find myself heading up to Chelse's house in Ohio to go to a Halloween her parents are holding. Her parents and I have an....odd relationship, to say the least, so I'm somewhat anxious about it. They're beginning to warm up to me more, though, so maybe it won't be so bad. After all, it's only one night. After that, my schedule should be clear....but there goes the rest of October for me. *sigh* Ahh, well...c'est la vie.
Now, I'm readying myself for bed since I get to sleep in late tomorrow, though I don't want to sleep too late. I'd like to head down to the Honors House somewhat early and keep whoever is fixing high tea some company and do the whole socializing thing, since I'm finding I enjoy it quite a bit. Later everyone, don't do anything I wouldn't!! ;)
