This is so, so lovely bb! The way you write is just so pretty, also your style, with the total lack of words until the last line.

How many times when they've sparred has he told her she leaves her right side unprotected?

Aww, I love that R gives K advice and stuffs when they're sparring. He is so protective of her. <333

Before looking at her wound, he holds her gaze, quiet and calm. She can see in his eyes the silent admonition, and while he hasn't said a word, she still feels her cheeks burn with shame.

THAT IS SO RICHARD. I love that he didn't actually say anything to scold her, but that it was there in his eyes. And that just the way he looks at her is enough for K to get that he was disappointed she lied about the wound.

His jaw clenches, trying to hide an emotion she thinks might be pain.

Love that he's in pain at the thought of causing her pain.

His hand lingering on her skin a moment longer than needed; thumb rubbing in small circles. She watches as his eyes travel up her thigh until he remembers himself and stands abruptly. She wishes he'd forget and stay.

I love this moment, especially the lingering. I can so see it happening on the show too.
