Re: lost - charles/eloise (adrenaline and crisis); we want war, rvalhalla37January 9 2011, 04:50:52 UTC
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! This is amazing, and so are you! What a perfect Eloise -- that second line especially; This is why she doesn’t protest, why she doesn’t argue, doesn’t say, don’t be filthy, it’s fucking raining -- and Charles too. It's so painful and visceral and I love it.
And I adore that the ending kind of brings it back to the beginning, with the images of destruction and Charles' excitement -- what a killer ending. Again, you are AWESOME, and thank you so, so, so much for writing phenomenal Charles/Eloise like you always do! :D :D :D
LOST - Daniel/Charlotte; AUs; whose other side is salvation (PG)angela_weberJanuary 7 2011, 15:59:55 UTC
They wake up in the water, fully submerged, and Charlotte almost doesn't notice the burn in her lungs when she breaks through the surface and throws her head back and gasps, breathes, laughs, fluttering and choking and grabbing at Daniel as she treads the waves pulling them in to the shore. Dan is blinking and sputtering and holding onto Charlotte for dear life. He looks silly, like a drowned rat, and the thought makes her giggle. She isn't quite sure whether it's joy or hysteria or simple panic that's making her laugh and gag up all of the salt stuck in her parched throat.
"Are you sure you got the bearing quite right, Dan?" she gasps between strokes, and now they're twenty feet from the shore, fifteen. He coughs and drags himself a little away from her, struggling to pull his own weight along with that of all of the instruments strapped to his belt, compass, GPS, phone, probably all ruined now, but you never know.
"Are you sure that you followed it?" Charlotte snorts at that and sinks down in the water to her knees, grateful

Your Daniel/Charlotte! Exclamation marks! I love your Daniel/Charlotte -- you are so amazing for writing this, and it is just as amazing as you are! :D :D :D This is pretty much some of my favourite kind of AU -- canon-inspired, and happy. I love the whole beginning, the action and the intensity of it (and heeeee, Dan is blinking and sputtering and holding onto Charlotte for dear life. He looks silly, like a drowned rat, and the thought makes her giggle. She isn't quite sure whether it's joy or hysteria or simple panic that's making her laugh and gag up all of the salt stuck in her parched throat.), and then all the feeling of movement through the entire thing, with the waves and the two of them making their way to the beach.
And the ending! I adore that in the end they make it, that there's a real tangible feeling of a journey coming to an end, and another one starting, it feels like. So, so, SO good -- thank you so much for this amazing ficlet! :D :D :D

Oh, thank you so much for the stunning comment! I'm SO happy you liked it! I always have a blast writing Dan/Charlotte--there's something about them that's really got under my skin, and so thank you for giving me the opportunity/excuse/incentive to do so! :D Again, I'm very very glad this worked for you. ♥!
After And On - Lost: Charlotte/Daniel/Juliet/Sawyer - Adrenaline + Crises - PG-13hitlikehammersJanuary 11 2011, 01:01:20 UTC
They wake up in the warmest sun, the coolest shade; their eyes open to brightness and dark. Their skin is clothed, bare; the scratch of sand and the gentle brush of grass and breeze, the soft touch of flesh, roughened -- smooth; the air is sweet, short, sucked heavy through pursed lips: oppressive -- and their chests heave as they stare up at nothing, as their arms stretch and their muscles ache and their hands grasp, grope for purchase, for the touch of one another, side to side to side and onward, upward: forever

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
This is like, pure poetry! Oh my god, I love it -- it's so gorgeous and ethereal that I've read it again and again and gotten something even more beautiful every time. And Charlotte/Daniel/Juliet/Sawyer! Pretty much my favourite OT4, and one that I don't think I've really seen much fic about, which is a shame because it's so awesome, as you've clearly proven here. ;P
God, I don't even know what to say this is so incredible. I think in all of it, if I can even isolate one part as being a favourite, this line just grabbed me: It’s smoke and reflections on the ocean and the sky: burns and tears and loss, and Juliet remembers blood in her mouth, and Dan’s fingertips press like brands against the underside of her wrist; and Charlotte’s hand is splayed on Dan’s chest, searching for a gap, a hole, and Jim’s thumb brushes carefully above her upper lip -- pulls away clean. It just connects them all so wonderfully, and has so much tragedy packed into such a beautiful line

I cannot tell you how happy I am that you enjoyed this -- I was a little afraid that the... "poetic" slant of it didn't work at all, so the fact that you liked it is relieving :) Thank you!
Re: remember me (forget my fate) -- lost, gen-ish charlotte/juliet (au, role reversal), pgvalhalla37January 16 2011, 22:52:46 UTC
OMG.
:D :D :D :D :D
THIS IS SO EFFING COOL! Thank you so, so much for writing this -- I absolutely adore this. The concept is so wicked, having Charlotte and Juliet switch places; I especially liked that that carried through from how they arrived on the island to Charlotte taking Daniel's role (another very cool role reversal) with warning Juliet not to come back.
I love it all, but I think I love the first part with Charlotte (and Jack! I loved this: Frustrated, restless; pulling at immovable chains just to hear them rattle) and the last two bits with the time travel the most. So, so, so neat; I seriously can't express how cool this entire universe you've created is, and how much I loved the relationship between Charlotte and Juliet. Thank you again, so much!

And I had a question for you, actually -- how do you feel about Richard/Charlotte? Because I've got a plot bunny a-brewin'. ;D
