I seriously, seriously, seriously don't even know how to respond to this feedback it's so amazing -- I'm intimidated by this feedback, because it's so incredible and wonderful and a dream come true to any writer.
I'm so glad that the various deaths worked for you (and you caught all the references I wasn't sure that worked; yay!) and the Charlotte scene especially, since that all came from your drabble -- I couldn't write it without someone referencing your awesome piece that inspired the whole thing! (Also, on the pragmatic side, I wanted to get them to the Tempest but couldn't figure out how anyone other than Dan would know how to use the computers, so ... ;P)
Kate is SUCH a BAMF; I'm so pleased you thought her characterization here worked, because she wasn't really supposed to be the centrepiece (beyond Miles) to this story, but she totally ended up just that. (Also, I sort of ship Miles/Kate like whoa, so there's that too.)
I briefly debated having Miles and Hurley be the only ones make it to the station in time, and finding Sun et al. dead after the fact, but that was just too depressing in all the other depressing stuff happening in this story, lol. I just couldn't end it on that note.
So yay, again, SO happy it was to your liking; I was so nervous! And thank you for such incredible inspiration! :D
