That's actually completely perfect because it's sort of where I was going with this; trying to bring some closure with these connections and what the alt world could mean to all of them. I feel like it's a little too tidy, but I couldn't handle any more angst, since canon has given us enough, I think. Oh yeah, Charlie! I like the thought that him and Claire find their way back to each other, and that Liam's still kicking around helping out too. ;P
Apparently I was on a big sibling kick when I wrote this, between the Penny and Daniel and the Jack and Claire; I think that's one thing we won't really get in canon, which makes me so sad -- just some nice sibling interaction.
It's pretty heavy on the shippy stuff, obviously, but like I said to someone else, it really does seem like one of Lost's big themes is the love/happiness/redemption/fulfillment you can find in other people, so I figured why not run with that?
