The Magick Bus ( I want it, I want it, I want it.... )
Okay folks, here's the deal.
Ye Olde Magick Busse is departing Toronto (from the Loblaws parking lot at Christie and Dupont) at 10am sharp on Wed. July 28th. We'll meet in the lot at 9am for loading gear onto the bus. If you need to shop for food at the Loblaws, it opens at 8, so please be there early so that others don't get stuck doing your share of the work loading the bus. The bus will be leaving from KG to this very same parking lot at 5pm on Monday August 2nd and should hopefully roll in around 9pm that evening, if Erica doesn't have to pee four hundred times on the way home. So we'll meet at 4pm that day to load the bus up for our trip home.
Things to know about the trip:
1) The two way ride is $125 per person this year.
2) You need to be ON TIME (once again, 9am departure from Toronto on the 28th, 4pm departure from Raven's Knoll on the 2nd) to both ends of the bus trip. We can't wait for you or refund your fare if you miss us.
3) You may want to bring snacks and drinks for the trip. It's going to be four to five hours with (ideally) only one stop each way unless we absolutely must make exceptions for Erica to pee.
4) For safety reasons we have room for 24 people and only 24 people on the bus.
5) Rides are first come, first served.
6) The only reserved seat is a paid seat.
7) You may want to pee just before you get on the bus, Erica.
I'm sorry if the rules seem a little tough but things threatened to get pretty out of hand last year so we need to be clear ahead of time in order to prevent misunderstandings and hurt feelings.
Having said all of that, MAN am I looking forward to this! I can't wait to check out the new land. When I was growing up my parents had a trailer that we went to over the summers just a bit west of Raven's Knoll on hwy 60 in the town of Madawaska on the Madawaska River. I fully expect a big rush of nostalgia and of course the always fantastic KG good times.
