(no subject)
- Flurries today. I haven't looked outside lately, but I doubt any of it has stuck. Wouldn't know it from the whining at work, though. Why is everyone so surprised? Tomorrow is December. It's time. It's also time for me to find my gloves. And figure out how I'm going to negotiate my stairs once they're covered in ice. I'm anticipating sliding down them on my butt will be most effective.
- Managed to avoid stores almost completely over the weekend. Had to go at one point because I thought I needed one of those things that turns one outlet into three. Ended up not even using it, and instead, the tree is plugged into the outlet that is controlled by my light switch. I like having it be the first thing that turns on when I come home at night.
- My tree is also a transsexual this year. Blue and pink lights. I'm amused.
- I was a little apprehensive digging out all the decorations, worried going through all of it would stir up loneliness and memories. It was pretty okay, though, and I also went out and bought a ton of new ornaments and such that are just mine. The blown glass flying pig one may be my favorite.
- I also found out that Alex will be visiting me as she treks home for Christmas at the end of the month. Seriously made my night.
- I need to sleep.
