Motivation!
Its been officially decided: Maria, Will, Butch, and I are doing this on June 23, 2007: Mayor's Marathon
Okay, so Maria, Will, and I are doing the half-marathon, but that's still 13.1 miles peeps! And I run about a 9-10 minute mile, so eeek... at the very minimum, this will be at least 130 minutes, which comes out to be a little over two hours of running straight!
We are doing the half-marathon with Team In Training and our run will be in memory of our fellow Hades' Lady Fanchon's mother, Kimberly Brown, who passed away after a long battle with Burkitt's Lymphoma last October 1.
We are hoping some other Hades Ladies will want to come and run as well, if not the half marathon, the marathon relay, the marathon walk, or just come and support us with gatorade and cheers.
Not only is this exciting as a fitness goal and exciting because I will be training with Will, I cannot wait to go to Alaska! Maria has lots of exciting stuff planned, including a rafting trip and nature hikes. I intend to be gone for at least a week, if not longer....
