(no subject)
Everything that High School has been leading up to (besides college, that is) finally happened: I got captain! Im not even sure exactly why i wanted it so much, maybe i just want my love for forensics to rub off on other people somehow, but getting this opportunity is a truly special thing for me and i swear that next year i will do everything i can to be perfect at it. This is, however, bittersweet, because there are other people who didnt get captain who i know wanted it just as badly as i did. I'm not saying that the four people who did get it dont deserve it (me, carly, lauren, sydney) But i know people like sam and becca and raj could have done an amazing job as well....it just kind of confuses me.
as far as next year goes, im really unsure of what i want to do...i think i've narrowed it down between a duo with grant and DI (because every poetry critique i got was like you suck go join DI)But i dont know...i guess i have a *little* time to think about it ;)
Scotland is getting closer and im soooo excited. I feel like by then everything that isnt calm will have calmed down and we will all have fun. There is a certain person who i want to go and i think they should go but they are making a decision that is best for them, i guess. (whoah mystery...haha) But whatever happens, it will be a great chance to get to say goodbye to the seniors and see as much theatre as possible.
Speaking of theatre, i think i have to make some choices next year...ones which are kind of gonna suck. Basically i see it as do the spring play (which i love soooo much more than the musicals) and be a terrible forensic team captain, or not do the play, miss it, and devote my time to forensics(which is what i should be doing anyway)
Well anyway enough of that...this weekend has been pretty fun--i saw harry potter last night and LOVED it. The only problem i had was that it focused more on the special effects than it did on the actual story--the ending was terribly abrupt. Im leaving in 20 minutes for a brunch date with ashley :) Then it will be time to tend to the 10,0000000 hours of hw that i have yet to start. yay life.
