Oh god, I laughed so hard I almost died. Every time Frank wrote something in his binder I basically fell over. And yay, you, for working in the girlfriends and not making them assholes. And the end was really sad, and sweet, and oh, GERARD. <3

I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for reading it! I felt bad when people online were mean to Eliza, so I wanted to make a fic where she was nice. (Of course, then in the middle of writing it, they broke up and I had to change the ending, but still.)

Okay, what. How do you write a story that has me laughing literally until I cried in millions of places, and then get *genuinely sad* when the story is largely about sequins?

Some of my favourites:

"I can suck Gerard's ear," Frank said as he wrote.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Also, best girlfriends ever.

Tell them what I'll do, Frank, if they buy something white and pink instead of ivory and tamarisk."

Frank flipped a few pages in his binder, then scanned a page until he found the correct spot. He marked it with his finger, looked up, and said, "Cry."

Gerard looked at them. "I will cry."

BOYS. GERARD. LOVE.

Gerard registering for pants! Gerard is a princess! YES TO A WOMAN. NO NOT TO BERT. Frank and Gerard and their gaytro lifemate cuddling and everything! The bit with the cake! The wings! The tinsel! The beads! I DIED OF MIRTH.

And then I got really upset at the end, because you are just THAT GOOD. UGH.

So on the one hand, this is obviously the best thing ever and I laughed so much I had to put my drink down so as not to like. spill. But then you broke my heart and I was sad.

...Basically, this fic = so awesome.

How do you DO this? First make me laugh hard enough to worry my flatmate, and then rip out my heart and then make it melt with Frank's notes.

This is absolutely amazingly wonderful and I love it. I have no idea how you made it so funny and at the same time so sad. I also have no idea how you managed to take Gerard so out of character and yet keep him so in character, if that makes any sense.
