I really love Inuyasha, but I got into it before they player it on Cartoon Network and volume 9 was the most recent release by Viz in the manga. Don't like the anime very much, but the manga was awesome. It just got REALLY long so I kind of dropped it. But every manga by Rumiko Takahashi is really very superb... I have most of hers released in English (Ranma, Maison Ikkoku, Urusei Yatsura, Rumic World Theater, Rumic World Trilogy, and Inuyasha). The anime is really so-so and doesn't do the manga justice, so try it out before saying you don't like Inuyasha. Just saying. ^^

As for Bleach, I keep meaning to try out the manga because I like Tite Kubo's other (discontinued) work, Zombie Powder. Just haven't gotten around to it yet. I like the openings and lcosings for the Bleach anime, though. I don't really hate the show, but it hasn't wowed me either. I always try to give series a fair chance to impress me.

And yes, you do jump on the bandwagon of super-popular stuff. Remember Pokémon and Fullmetal? :P

I've read the first chapter of Claymore and it was kind of fun. There wasn't something to quite grab me, but I've heard good things so I might read on. Especially since one of my friends at school adores it and we tend to like the same sort of horribly depressing/grotesque things. :D

Hehe, I was thinking of Pokemon and Fullmetal as well. Lol. I was into both series before they got super hyped-up; it seems like it's harder for me to get into a series after it's become popular. Not that I deliberately avoid those titles; I try to get into them, but lose interest quickly. I liked Naruto until after the Haku arc. And I enjoy Bleach openings/endings too. ^_^ And you're right, I've never read the Inuyasha manga, so who knows?

Hehe, that's why I want to read it. XD

I have the Inuyasha manga from volume 1 through 17 if you wanna check it out sometime. That's what made me love the series... the anime only impressed me up until Yura of the hair died (which is why I only have volumes 1 and 2 of the DVDs). Just be careful 'cause 1-12 are the old Viz editions and are thus gi-normous and I can't remember if they were bound well or not. You know what I mean, having collected suff from that era as well. ^^

As for Naruto, it just takes an entire episode to go through ten pages of the mange so it kind of started to piss me off for taking FOREVER to get anywhere. The manga isnt exactly pretty, but it's drawn well for its suited purpose and his drawing style does improve along the way. I like the time he spends on backgrounds, especially. So... I enjoy the manga, but not the anime at all for teh most part. Of course, I just ADORE Kakashi, so I might be a bit biased. I mean, seriously: The guy is kickass. XD

One Piece is kind of the same way with me. It's just a really enteratining read for no apparent reason. It doesn't make any sense, but the art is fresh (and surprisingly clean for a shounen) and different and the situations are just so surreal it's funny. This mostly comes from the fact that Luffy has no real common sense, but is incredibly loyal. All the characters are balanced in a way that is entertaining and not really predictable. The manga is really worth downloading if you haven't given it a chance, but avoid the anime like the plague... It's too painful to hear those English voices. Poor Sanji... ¬.¬'
