Monk Blues
I've come to discover that 74 is actually a pretty painful level for a monk, especially if you ding'd early into the level, and have 40K+ exp a head of you before 75.
N/A prime time for exp is about as fucked up as ever. Early bird JP's mages is still refusing to PT with NA's, while all NA's are on their Uber Melee jobs with "Burn PT Only" in their comment seeking for hours on end.
As usual, when I seek now, there's always 4 or 5 other 75 monks seeking. Hell, if I was bard and wanted to build a monk Party, I would pick the other monks over myself knowing the fact that those 75 monks can just punch a little faster than the 74's. This resulted in many hours of soloing while seeking, or taking Assault partys because of the chance at getting exp.
So far so good. I've gotten about 3-4K per session, a few more levels of guard, and about 24K into the level. If this keeps up, I might just end up soloing to 75.. It actually might be more gratifying, and serves as good final test on becoming a 75 monk.
After this, I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet. Thought about leveling Blu, but I don't think I'm ready to jump on that bandwagon yet.. since it kinda left already anyway. Or.. I might just get some jobs like Drk, Sam, Drg to 37, before I get back to the grind.
