[everything is good]

...except the car, but we'll get to that later.

I realized I hadn't really made a substantial update in forever, so since I don't need to go to sleep quite yet, let's catch up.

It's now been over three months since I moved to Virginia Beach. After my initial job fell through, I didn't do much more than job hunt for the next 8 - 10 weeks. Finally, a few weeks ago, I got offered [mostly] full time work at Virginia Opera. I've been there for over two weeks so far, and I love it. My coworkers are awesome, the work is engaging, and I've discovered that I had a hidden love for climbing three story proscenium booms.

I'm relieved to have steady work again, and am slowly paying down my debts from the summer. It feels good to feel like I've got a bit of control over my situation again.

I'm happy to have RAM back up and running at full speed again, too, and look forward to the upcoming releases. The economy is still having a toll on sales though, so I'm taking a step back and rethinking some of projects and aims of the company to compensate for both the economy and the changing music/social scene.

And through all of this...there's Rick. Other than the occasional "I love my boyfriend" Facebook updates, I haven't really written a lot about our relationship. Now that we're coming up on our four month anniversary, though, I feel I'm a bit overdue. The last four months have been some of the best of my life. Rick is truly the best man that I've ever known, and I still marvel on how lucky I am to have finally found someone that completes me 100%. I wouldn't change a thing.

So (other than the car), I really have nothing to complain about or worry about any more. I have a job I love, my business is going relatively well, my roommate is awesome, and I'm head over heels in love.

Now, to the car:

It's the transmission. Damn it.
