I was fairly small when we lived there, so I couldn't really tell you directions as to where we lived in regards to gates, but we were on Buckeye St (1515 I think), right off of Birch. There is (or was) a park right across the street and a golfcourse (not the officer's club one) was a few blocks down to the left. We moved there in 88 and got transferred in 94. That's crazy that you were probably living there when I was. If you saw a little girl with foofy platinum blonde hair playing with frogs in the mud or falling off her bike, it was probably me. ;)
Is the stable still there? WPAFB was my favorite place we lived, cause I could hop on my bike to go see my horse. I remember when we were moving they were talking about demolishing the stable (some BS line about derelict water pipes) and pastures around it to build a new golf clubhouse. That was the beginning of my hatred for golf, heh. :>
The day before they came to pick up our horse to ship him to northern VA (where we were moving to), I went out in the rain and rode him at a canter all over their golfcourse... I had muddy clumps of grass all over both me and the horse by the time we were done -- the golfcourse was destroyed. Muwahaha!! >:)
