I had an interesting run in with a Chinese person on Wednesday. I went to Boston with my mom and Grandparents, because my Grandfather had to pick up some papers at the Consulate, and I had to drop of some papers at the Law School. While we were at the Law School, I gave them the tour. (Now that I have given it couple of times I know where everything is, and I feel like a little kid when I go there because I'm soo excited and i can't wait to start)
Anywho, it started to pour outside, and we still wanted to eat something in Chinatown, so we ran in the rain and were soaked by the time we got to the restaurant. After we were done eating, it was still puring outside, so they voted that I walk the three or four blocks in the rain and get the car.(I'm sure you've guessed no umbrella is involved in this story)
I head out, and when I get to the traffic light an old chinese guy is running toward me waving his hands and telling me to stop (I'm thinking he has me confused for somebody else) When he reaches me he covers me with his umbrella and says "you're ok" and thats all he speaks of english (I discovered this when I asked him where he was from and he said China, and I told him my sister lives there and he didn't understand anything I said) Anyway, when we got to the next block, I was turning so I thanked him for saving me from the rain this far and bid him goodbye, but he wouldn't let me go. He walked me with his umbrella all the way to my car, everytime we would get to where you cross the stree and I would think this was as far as he would walk with me and wave goodbye, he would say "you're ok" and continue walking with me. That is pretty darn cool. When he said good bye he gave me a kiss on the cheek, it was soo cute.
