My copy of the Live in Chicago CD/DVD and A Picture With Books arrived today. Yay for pre-ordering from FBR and priority shipping (and living in the US)!
The book is kind of a disappointment IMHO. But that's due to the inherent lack of quality found in Polaroids, really. I understand that some people like that unique quality Polaroids have - Than Luu from Black Gold is a big fan too - but I just don't get it. Plus, the way the book is designed, you never see any of the pictures very large. I'll scan a few more pages when I have time - not today - to show you what I mean. It's still a great collectors item, and I wouldn't give it up for anything, but if you're expecting the book itself (I haven't watched the DVD yet) to have great shots of the guys and chronicle the tour, I think you're going to be disappointed.
More when I have time, and have watched the DVD (The book comes with one disc just inside the front cover and the second disc just inside the back cover).
Also, FYI... they do have his name spelled Valdés in this book. I'll have to see what the DVD says.
