I really liked Rodney as a disembodied brain. I was a bit confused though about how exactly he got decapitated in the first place.

*waves hands* It wasn't really the point of the story, so umm, I suppose - Ancient lab experiment gone wrong? Trap set for unwary Wraith? Self-defence mechanism malfunction? Take your pick... :)

Hee! Very cool (and I'm so glad he's going to get a body back!). And now I know who you are, (because that conversation was just a *little* bit memorable *g*) and I'm wondering if you did get around to re-reading the book, and what you thought if so?

I know! Somehow I had to give him his body back - it would be a much darker fic without that, I think.

And I did look for my copy of the Ship Who Sang, but I couldn't find it - but then when I tried to write the fic in a similar style to what I remembered - with John flirting with a girl on every planet, and Rodney getting jealous, it felt a bit icky, somehow. I threw it all out, as you can see, and wrote something much closer to real SGA, and then re-wrote that. *sigh* So much work - serves me right for signing up to something I thought was going to be an easy bit of fun... :)
