So...where do I start? I wish I had more self discipline so I would have waited until chapter 32 is posted? Yeah, don't have it, I thought I was awesome to not read it when it was posted and I was already half on my way to bed...okay, let's do this.

I'm too lazy to go look for it, but when I read this again (yep, when not if) I will notice them mentioning the restaurant...of course I didn't, I can't even remember them mentioning it. I admire your brain.

Okay, first question - when Nate says they can record the scene at the restaurant. Is that important? Am I supposed to understand WHY it is important? 'Cause I don't get it.

Hee, I like how Eliot thinks he should have paid more attention to Hardison's geek babble. Awww.

Again, I love how you have us in Eliot's head - give us the little thoughts about what he thinks. Otherwise I would be completely lost. I love that he has to keep himself from smiling and laughing, his thoughts have me laughing at parts...and then get scared a second later.

I love the beginning, when they have the chess conversation about Eliot being the pawn and being sacrificed by Nate. I mean, Eliot knows not to underestimate Villacorta, but Villacorta basically does so with Eliot.

So Eliot basically says he didn't get shot and the hospital thing was just...a distraction?

In the beginning I'm really worried, because there seems to be no way for Eliot to get a step ahead of Villacorta, it's very difficult to see that he actually has a plan and KNOWS where he's going with all of this.

The Spider just started to pull his strings around the Fly.
I have to admit - I'm not sure who's the Spider and who's the Fly at this point...but I know I will find out ;).

So, another question: When Sophie rants in the van about how Villacorta is reading Eliot but Eliot isn't reading Villacorta and how Eliot is sending mixed signals - is he doing that, is he in over his head or is she seeing it wrong because he wants Villacorta to see him this way?

more for the next part...

eeek, where do I start, too? :D

Restaurant - yes, it was in the first briefing that Hardison had, the one when Nate told them Eliot is their mark - but in the chapter still says it's the lunch, not breakfast. At that point I couldn't know how much time would Eliot need to do what had to be done. I'll change it later.

Nate&recording the scene - it was an attempt in extremely dark humor :D he was reffering to their recording of the initial shooting in the warehouse - if they now record Villacorta killing him, their collection of Eliot beeing shot would be complete. Move along, not important for the plot :D

Eliot¬ being shot. - The first time he basically said that to Villacorta was in their phone talk, and he repeat it to Lady Killer ( remember he had to hide from her how weak he was?)knowing she would confirm that to Villacorta. That detail rearranged all hospital doings into THEIR play, and gave him an opportunity to accuse Chileans from the warehouse of double play.

Sophie&Eliot not reading V - she was right. Precisely, she WOULD be completely right if Eliot was grifting him, but he wasn't - it wasn't conning or grifting, that was a war negotiations. Eliot was thinking about how he can't read him, and he was disturbed by that, until he figured out that he, in fact, doesn't need it. He had his side to play out, and V reactions wouldn't add much to that.
