Had a 'talk' with the DOS yesterday, apparently I'm still not working hard enough and 'need to take it up three or four gears'. Le sigh. I'm fully aware that I sucked last year, and that I have to do a fuckton of revision if I actually want to get good grades this year (which I really, really do), but I thought I was doing ok. The majority of Cambridge students are actually robots. They are made of gears, but can only run at gear 5 or above.

I can't believe you don't get feedback (or, at least, you get shitty feedback like that) on your essays. When I get one back it comes with a coversheet of comment-ness.

Maybe you should tell your DOS that you want to know where you're going wrong...

Three or four gears does sound like a lot. I'm sure it's not true.
