I wanna have the same last dream again
So, uhm, a lot has happened since I last update... on the 12. *shifty eyes* If it wasn't for chat programs you'd all think I died or something.
Well... seeing as the only days that I remember from the past week and a half was the 17 and this last weekend, I suppose this will probably be shorter than the other entries where we play catch up, or actually, since there was a concert involved, it might be much longer...
April 17, 2006: It was a beautiful day! I didn't have to wear a sweatshirt. Oh yeah! So... I accidentally slept through my drawing class... >_>;; That wasn't so great because I had spent 10+ hours on my project that was due that day. Anyway, I got up, got ready, and went to my last class of the day. Got out of that at 2:45, went back to my room, and then headed to the event center because they were doing something special before the concert that night. Anyway, I got there, and it's like a mini fair put on by Dentenye Ice, the gum people, it was a promotional deal for their soft chew gum or something like that. I looked around for a few minutes and then found HIM. Yes... for those of you who know who HE is, good... I guess. For those of you that don't... HE is the boy that I like... but don't see him often enough to do much about it. And Lolo, I can't just go to his room, because from the inside I don't know which room it is! And no way in hell am I just going to knock on the outside window... that's just slightly stalkerish and I really don't want to come across like that. Anyway, we started talking and I asked him if he was going to the concert and he said he wanted to but didn't have a ticket. Sadness. -_- So, we wandered around a little bit and did some of the games, I won a T-shirt and he got a huge box of gum. haha. Hmm... let's see, we got a bunch of other free stuff too and he offered to carry it for me while we continued looking around. While we were waiting in line one of his friends came up and started talking to him and he asked who I was, so HE said "She's my best friend" with a huge smile on his face. I think my cheeks turned red... but I'm not sure, 'cause it was pretty warm too and I was wearing a black shirt. (Lolo, don't say I'm making up excuses 'cause I'll hurt you.) Then I saw the sign that said Yellowcard was going to do an autograph session and I started flipping out in my head. ^^;; haha. So, after about a half an hour he had to go to another class so he gave me back my stuff and I stayed there waiting for my roommate Elizabeth to come down and wait with me to get autographs.
Well, the only part of Yellowcard that was there when they were signing autographs was Sean, the violin player, and Peter, one of the guitarists. But that's cool. I got to take a picture with Sean. ^_^ Uhmm... so... after that I went back up to my room and put all my stuff away and then went to the ATM that's all the way across the campus and then got in line. It got cold because I didn't want to take a jacket into the show because last time I did that it was so gross. x_x Too many sweaty bodies against me and I couldn't get it off. I felt like I was dying. So... after waiting in line for about an hour and a half they finally let us in and we had to wait in there for half an hour... but the security people made us sit down and wait. That was interesting. Well, when we all got up and pushed in I was one row away from the bar behind some short Asian girl.
The opening bands were ok, it was: My Former Self, their bass player threw a CD at my head and I caught it just before it hit me in the face, Over It, they were pretty good too, and Mae, I'd never heard of them before and I really didn't like them. That, and they played for too long. Then, we waited for about 10 minutes for Yellowcard to come out. And during that time, someone had nachos and salsa and dropped their tray on the ground and it got everywhere! I had salsa all down the back of my pant legs and the floor was slippery and Converse have no traction on slippery floors.
Before Yellowcard came on I found some girl that went the Green Day concerts at SBC and the Warfield, it was awesome! She was even standing near me at both of them. HAHA, how crazy is that?
Yellowcard is awesome live! About two or three songs in, the girl in front of my got pulled out because she couldn't take the moshing, so I got to be on the rail! Ryan, the lead singer, jumped off the stage and let the crowd life him up and he grabbed my hand! And he wouldn't let go either... though he was kind of crushing my hand, oh well. lol. He's really good looking in person... yeah, I know that was random. ^^;
Needless to say, the concert was awesome! The band was so happy, you could see it on their faces, and I just kept thinking back to the Green Day concerts and how happy they looked too. It made me happy. And it seems that I just used the word happy a lot. >_>; After that we went back to the room and I had to write a 4 page essay. lmao. That was interesting... I still haven't gotten it back from my teacher. I really want to know how I did.
Um... we're going to zoom ahead to this past weekend.
April 21, 2006: My parents drove up from home to see me! They got here around 8 or so and we went to Baker's Square to get pie and ice cream. That was fun! Haha. Then they dropped me off back at my dorm room and they went to their hotel.
April 22, 2006: Had to get up at 6:30 to be able to take a shower, get ready, and meet my parents by 8. My body kind of went into shock because I haven't gotten up at 6:30 in a very, very long time. So, I met up with my parents and we went to IHOP for breakfast, 2 malls, Oakridge and Eastridge, and had dinner at P.F. Chang's. Damn good food! I just wish I could have brought some back to the dorm. Anything fucking beats eating Subway every damn day. After that we were going to go see a movie, but nothing sounded good at the time, so they came back to my room and we tried to find a course list for my classes, but that didn't go so well. After that we went to Baker's Square again and sat in the same seat as before and had the same waiter. How amusing is that? He even remembered us. XD They left around 10:30 pm-ish and I had to stay up and get some papers written... I didn't get into bed until like 1:30.
April 23, 2006: Got up at 6:30 again completely exhausted. Hung out with my parents some more, went to Santana Row, some Harley store, and had lunch at Fudruckers! I love that place! Their fries are sooooooooooooooooooo good. And they aren't tiny little stick fried, they're huge! Um... after that we went to Costco and I got water, double chocolate muffins, and Easy Mac. And then they had to leave to drive home. So, we said goodbye and then they left, and I had to finish up more papers.
And now that gets us to today:
April 24, 2006: I accidentally slept through drawing again. x_x I pushed the wrong button on my alarm clock and it got turned off. And yeah, went to my second class and now I'm going to Admissions to check on stuff for Lolo. Sadly though, I'm like 10 minutes late. XD I couldn't type all that fast enough.
Hokay! I'm out now.
