Young Adult!

So... what would you guys consider to be absolutely classics (or deserve-to-be-classics) of the young adult literature* genre?

*(I'm not going to get hardcore with the definitions, but generally speaking I think a young adult novel isn't just any book a young adult might happen to read, but has some content relating to young adulthood, however

I was trying to think of what Robin McKinley books would really fit the "YA" label. I read them all at that age, but yeah, that might be a particularly fitting one...

Also, The Giver & Redwall aren't girly. And you are a girl.

OMG click through to actual BuzzFeed and watch the video that the gif was from. It's hilarious and not a little heart twisting...well it twisted my heart because I have bathed kittens that little before and yes, they are that sad and pathetic but also freezing cold and unhappy and you just want to snuggle them.

I cannot believe that horrible woman blew the kitten dry. It seems like torture for the poor thing.
