I come from the end of a bag, but no bag went over me.
Procrastinating today, I decided to browse for news about The Hobbit filming, as I have not been following the info coming out about it at all. I found a couple tidbits that gave me joy... First, that Richard Armitage, before being cast as Thorin, was apparently rumored to be up for the role of Bard the Bowman from Laketown, who shoots Smaug. (I enjoyed this because when I reread the book four years ago, my mind immediately put Richard into that role, so that now I can't picture him otherwise.)
Second and more significantly: behind the scenes! Tour of the Bag End set! Martin Freeman being his adorable self! Ian McKellen seemingly stoned! And - dwarves! (Not in costume.) At first I thought all we were going to get was a brief glimpse of the back of Richard Armitage's head, but no! He gives a speech!
Yes, I know that was a lot of exclamation points. But I am presently feeling a burst of excitement at the idea of returning to Middle Earth...
