The further adventures of Bingley, Destroyer of Worlds
My friend Jorge is back in town, after a summer spent in his homeland of Texas. This year he brought his dog with him to his new house. Last night he brought her over to meet my roommate and I.
Commie is a beautiful Husky-and-something, your basic sled dog. She is very friendly, but excitable.
Bingley has met dogs before, and didn't exactly take to them, but only watched warily from a corner. What I hadn't taken into account is that those were small dogs.
When Commie came into our house last night, Bingley's defensive strategy went into action. One: demonstrate Halloween Cat pose, attempting to scare away terrifying wolf-creature. Two: when this fails, get out of wolf-creature's reach.
I have never seen anything like it in my life. He got onto the kitchen counter and made a flying leap into the venetian blinds covering the window, which he simultaneously attempted to climb up and burrow into. I SO wish I had a picture of him clinging madly, half-in and half-out of the blinds, but I all I got was a shot of the aftermath:
Poor terrified Bingles. But I've gotta admit, it may be the most hilarious thing I've ever seen. (Though, alas, it's also probably gonna be expensive...)
