Gotta love the internet
Seriously!
My iPod started displaying the sad iPod icon on my way to the grocery store. I got really pissed off as this happened before and it didn't work for 5 days. With going to the hospital on monday I cannot deal with a non-working iPod. Taking it to the shop to have it fixed is no good either because it'll cost a lot of money, I'll just get another refurbished one that probably isn't perfect either, plus it'll take 5 business days, so still no good in regards of hospital music needs. (And when it takes 5 days I might as well wait another 5 days again to see if it fixes itself by not being used)
Being pissed off about it I decided to search for sad IPod icon in google. And yes, a lot of pages came up, all declaring that apple's solutions were crap and one of them sending me to another wbsite.
There a guy named Eddie told the world that he was so pissed off about it, he decided to drop it on a hard surface. And it started working again. After him about 500 people posted comments about trying this and dropping it or slapping the crap out of the iPod worked.
Figuring that I'm out of warranty anyways I figured trying this couldn't hurt.
And yessssss!!!!!! It did work! My iPod is playing again and I can go to the hospital with music!
