This was the view out of the kitchen window yesterday morning!

It was pretty!

Friday was your average day, apart from the fact that the god squad set up shop outside the store. Chris went out for his fag break and got accosted, apparantly he 'looks like the kind of person that wouldn't believe in god.' Oh, how ape did he go when he got back into the shop. I was so tempted to go out and test my a-level theology on them, but having to be all responsible-like means that I can't do anything like that anymore. That's what I miss about my old job, I feel like I can't ever let myself go and act like a dick every so often, sanction practical jokes etc. It didn't stop me playing in the snow when we finally realised that it was snowing though!!!!

Skintech was amazing. I wish I had been able to go both days, so will remember to book the weekend off next year. Am also now really looking forward to Derby, found quite a lot of people that I knew which suprised me. There were two artists doing hand-poked tattoos, we must have spent at least three hours watching that because we kept wandering back over to the stalls. Bought a gorgeous pinstripe jacket and striped cardie which has a hood and cat ears! I didn't intend on spending any money yesterday other than my entrance fee, but they're gorgeous so I couldn't help myself! I've entered my sleeve in one of the competitions as well, but don't quite know how I will find out how I did as the results aren't out until tonight and I can't get in touch with anyone I know that's going today. Will have to keep checking the website I suppose. We weren't going to stay too late but as we were about to go we ran into one of the artists from studio 81, who invited us up to share the many bottles of spirits that they were hiding under the table in the bar (it was £7.50 for a double vodka and coke otherwise!). So in the end it turned into a fairly prolonged evening, but a good time was had by all. Didn't feel healthy when I got to work today though.

Other than that am still feeling crap, have a sore throat and a lovely cough which makes me sound ever so attractive. I'm still not sleeping well either, amk starting to despair a bit actually. I have few problems getting to sleep, I have problems staying asleep. I normally get a couple of hours in, and then the rest of the night gets spent waking up continuously so I never feel properly rested when I do get up. I'm even considering going to the doctors and getting some sleeping tablets, but I hated the effect they had on me when I was prescribed them before. I'm just sick and tired (haha) of feeling this dragging tiredness all day every day. There never seems to be an end to it. Oh, and if you call my landline, beware that you are being taped! My mum has bought a tape recorder to record my gran when she calls up and speaks gibberish, as her health care 'professionals' don't seem to believe how bad she gets when she's having a bad day. They only assess her a couple of times a year, and tend to dismiss anyones concerns based on how she was when they last assessed her, not how she is at the time. The concept of a degenerative condition seems to pass them by totally.
