I made my roughly monthly trip to Sioux Falls today and picked up, amongst other things, the latest Looney Tunes comic. After going to my regular comics store, I made my way to another. I thought the place had closed a few years ago, but it turns out they just moved across town and I didn't find out until someone connected with the Siouxland Renaissance Festival happened to mention it. I did find the place again now, and while they had some back issues, they didn't have the ones I wanted. I was surprised to find that the bagged and boarded back issues I did see were given prices below the original cover price.

The new Looney Tunes comic isn't too bad. The one problem is that the writer of the last story isn't credited. I checked the DC Comics web site and they only listed the two authors credited on the other stories. I also found that I no longer have valid e-mail addresses for a couple people who worked on this issue and might be able to fill in that gap. That also means I can't ask them about anything else should it come up. Nor can I tell them when I catch up with things that the COLT is up to date. Granted, that's likely still a full year away, but I'd like to tell people about that when it finally happens.

The odd thing is that just the writer credit is missing. In earlier issues if credits were dropped, it was an all-or-nothing matter. In the last few years DC has been good about listing full credits, too. But this time there is no writer credit, but there are credits for the penciller, inker, letterer, colorist, editor and assistant editor. The omission seems rather strange. So while I wonder who wrote the story, I also wonder how it happened that the writer didn't get credited.

credit, colt
