The next upgrade... will hopefully be trivial.
I'd asked about video cards and monitors but neither of those will be swapped out anytime soon. But in rebuilding the system I had taken apart in December to help diagnose the old belgian, I ran into a couple issues that will be solved with a NewEgg order that is scheduled to arrive Thursday. One is that I am a DVD or CD drive short.
The best approach there is to pull the IDE DVD/CD drive from the current belgian and use that, and upgrade to a nice new SATA interface DVD-burner (right now I can only burn DVDs with andalusian, the notebook). I hadn't expected to remove the cover from the new belgian quite so soon, but I'm not at all upset about that.
