My favorite cheap(crappy) beer by FAR would be Miller High Life. ;)

I wasn't going to have another beer, but seeing this I've changed my mind. I'll move on from my own Belgian Witt to the newest exotic import this country has ever seen... Dos Equis!

I have such a hard time considering XX as an "exotic" import. Somewhere, there's a Dos Equus joke, no doubt.

Best cheap beer is Old Style, which is good slightly cool to warm with a cool steamed hot dog at a ballpark, preferably Wrigley on a hot summer day with the sun shining and the Cubbies winning.

Amazing there's 10 other non-beer drinkers besides me! Thought I"d be the only one!

But, for the record, Americans do *not* know how to make a good beer. Compare with the stuff north of the 49th and then you'll see what I mean.

(If I *have* to drink beer, I go Kokanee, a Canadian beer, natch.)

But, for the record, Americans do *not* know how to make a good beer. No, Americans seem not to have worked out how to mass produce industrial amounts of truly good beer - and I'm not sure anyone else has.[1] The US Macrobrews are rather like cheap chain fast food: what you get is uniform and predictable, but not that good - generally they manage to be inoffensive which means pretty bland ( ... )
