So, as I was filing all the receipts from last year, I separated out the ones for gasoline, to get an idea of what I spent. Including the few times I recall paying cash, the total last year was just over $1200.00 for the year. And since I was at it:
Highest price: $3.049/gal on August 4th, at the BP Amoco/7-11 on Grafton St. in Worcester. (I bought it there because it was the cheapest I had seen it in 3 days.)
Lowest price: $2.099/gal on October 16th, at the Shell on Rt. 20 in Marlboro.(Woot!)
Biggest single purchase: 9.61 gallons (I have a 10.5 gallon tank)
Smallest single purchase: 4.18 gallons (a top off before a trip)
Average # of gallons per fill: 7.87 (from a random sampling of 10 receipts)
That is all. Back about your business.
