Mr. D took us to the city to take the touristy stuff like the boat tour and open bus tour. Chico looks thoroughly bored and so was I during the boat tour (snore...). I'm sorry but I don't really care that Hamburg is the 9th busiest/best port in Europe. I come from a country with the best port in the world. Okay, now I sound horribly snobby, but what's so interesting about a dry dock and ugly ship after ship! -.-''
The bus tour was very informative and I learnt lots about Hamburg, so that was pretty good, though we didn't get to sit at the top deck despite it being called an open bus tour :X I would have loved to check out the night scene in Hamburg (shisha clubbing?!). It would have also been interesting to walk along the infamous Reeperbahn, a.k.a the red light district but uh, we didn't get to do so ): The Beatles actually started out in the Reeperbahn/St. Pauli area, which I think is a cool little fun fact to know, heh.
Ps: My gimpshop-ing skills really suck so I gave up after awhile, sigh.

Day 5: Hamburg on foot
I love that everywhere in Europe, there are lovely buildings. Doesn't the first building (minus the cranes) look like something out of a fairytale?
Hamburgers are green, green people! They even grow grass on their cars (; And I absolutely love the smart car, when's it gonna come to SG!
Random photo shots of a bridge and spider web taken by the bf.
That's the bf's mum with our lovely hosts, Willie and Michy. They're so happy in the first picture because they found a hot air vent to stand on, lol! Them again at the Old Commercial Room. We even got their autographs (; (Old Commercial Room is a hit with famous people and guests includes Jackie Chan and The Beatles)
I ordered veal (right) with potato salad and the bf ordered typical German sailor fare (left). It may not look much but the stuff (I cannot remember the german name!!) is seriously good. The waiter was also so amused with us because we all gave him confused, huh? faces when he gave us the menu in Mandarin. We requested for a menu in English after that of course (;
It may not look like it but I was probably wearing at least five layers (; I'm terribly afraid of the cold, brrr.
History students, guess who?

Bismark of course!!!! I was very excited to see it and half-sad to find out that the bottom part of the statue had been vandalized ):

Day 6: Hamburg/Paris, Eiffel Tower
Up, up and away to Paris! This was the leg of the trip that I was waiting desperately for. All the history, architecture and FASHION had me really excited (; (; (;
Apologies for the blurry photos. A picture of Jardin du Trocadero, which is the garden/park in front of the Eiffel Tower. I was sitting on a bench right underneath the Eiffel Tower for fear that my skirt would fly away from me... (which it did, on many occasions to my horror)
The famous monument (: It's really pretty, especially in the night! And more of the jardin. All the trees are flat! Lots of money and time spent on pruning I guess?
Couply shots! This was out 116th attempt at a photo which included our faces and most parts of the Eiffel Tower. I think we must have looked pretty funny since several people offered to help us take a photo at different times :X But do not be fooled by our happy faces, we had a fight after that. I cried at the Eiffel Tower, how bloody romantic is that -.-''
Obligatory (bad) shot of what I was wearing - my new dress from H&M!
At 10.30pm (yes, that late, doesn't look like it eh?), the Eiffel Tower lit up and it was all sparkly. The crowd went "Wooo" at that, haha. On the right is an Egyptian Obelisk. The Obelisk of Luxor which was a gift to Napolean (?) and it also represents that centre of Paris (?) [I may be mixing my history facts up a bit, heh]
Before visiting the Eiffel Tower, we had also explored Avenue des Champs-Élysées and went to the Arc de Triomphe. Dinner was pâté with toast as my entrée, Duck Confit and then Chocolate Mousse, yum!
