The song starts just like how it’s supposed to be and then it passes it’s first verse, chorus, second verse and then it’s the chorus once again and things are just starting to get alive and the music kicks a notch higher as you hear his vocals scratch the speakers in a loud melodic boom and everyone is dancing to the chorus once again. He even passes you - bouncing like a bunny on the loose - and it makes you smile as you sing and dance a long as well.
You watch him with curious eyes as he bounces his way to retrieve one push cart and you walk your way down to him - the group’s own song booming in the background accompanied with the constant screams and “oppa~ saranghae” and you smile at them but then deep inside you, that smile was only actually for him and him alone. He waves a hand to your direction as you’re a few steps away from him and he gives you a signal that you sit on the push cart and you do even though you seem doubtful about it.
As you slip your thin fragile looking body onto the metal made push cart - behind you, he grips the handle with strong and pale hands. He pushes it oh so slowly, just taunting you and you smile as you look up to him - craning your neck so you could look onto those brown orbs that harbored dozen of familiarity and eccentric sentiments - and it surprises you that he leans forward, just a little, and you know he’s still taunting you.
You hear the screams and feel the different camera flashes as you drown into his eyes - oh how you missed those eyes! - and every one who’s present there in that very stadium would think they’d gone deaf as the fan girl screams goes louder and you’re not really sure if that’s because of him and you or was it because of another random stunt by the other members? You really don’t care because as of this moment, in front of a thousand fans and numerous staffs and a couple of managers - he’s whispering his assurance about him, about you - about him and you combined.
He smiles at you - that sneaky and sweet smile of his - as he stands straight again and it was as if a millennium had passed but the truth is it was a just a few seconds - maybe just a heartbeat - but it didn’t matter. It didn’t even matter that he almost pushed you off of the stage but withdrew immediately and of course, your human instincts went on and you instantaneously got up from the push cart and laughed at him as Kangin had called his attention at once and the other members laughed at his silly stunt.
You then stalk off from the small forming group and you know he is following you and he too, has a smile of his own. The song then ends on cue and Eeteuk is starting to talk and the next thing you know you’re talking too and you pass it to Hankyung at once and you smile - a smile that you never knew existed, a smile so sheer that you even doubt the word illusion.
You smile - not because you want to but because you feel that you need to. You stand there and you glance at your side and you see him - standing at the end of the line beside Heechul - and your smile grows wider because now his words seemed to repeat itself over and over and over again in your head like a mix tape and it just makes sense.
“It was just a kiss and nothing more.”
Yes, what had happened earlier between them was just a kiss and you don’t doubt him - and maybe that was the reason why you weren’t really scared if he’d push the cart off or not. You had trust him since the day you’ve gotten close, to the day you had been on an accident until the day you went to China and up to now - the very day he had kissed another member - you still trust him and forever you will do because he was yours, and you were his - and there was no doubt to that oblivion you built with him.
“It was just a kiss and nothing more.”
The words still lingers in every corner of your head as the night’s show ends and the thirteen of you slip onto your own rooms and here you are, standing in front of him - you had him cornered and the smile he has now couldn’t be compared to any other twinkling star in the jet black sky. He looks up to you as he slips his arm onto your neck and he wraps it there and pulls you down and he gives you a kiss - and this isn’t just a kiss - because you practically now that’s he pouring his heart out to you as lips graze onto the other lip.
And no, this wasn’t just a kiss - not like earlier - because what happened earlier between him and Heechul - was just a kiss and nothing more.
