Oh hell... *melts into the floor*

You're killing me! I hope you realize that. If I'm going to die, this is a good way to go! :D

This was so emotional, so powerful. You're one of those authors that can knock me on my ass with one sentence. You've got so much talent!

Let me go all fangirl over some lines:

When Jack knelt down beside him he was crying. The human waited until his dry retching had stopped, then pulled him into his arms, rubbed his back, kissed the top of his head and felt ridiculously grateful for the TARDIS. Maybe she wasn’t as unreasonable as he’d thought her to be.

Props to the TARDIS! She obviously knows what she's doing. I love seeing her as a character and you write it so well!

“Because I love you and that means so much more than anything you could ever do to me. I’d forgive you, no matter what you did. Would do anything for you, even deny myself killing that asshole. Don’t you know that? You’re everything to me, Doc. Everything! I don’t mean this life, travelling the universe and all, I’ve had that before. I mean you. That’s why I didn’t let you push me away at the end of the universe and that’s why I won’t let you push me away now. You’re stuck with me. See it as your punishment if you have a problem with that.”

Oh HELL yes! *stands and cheers* It probably doesn't help that I was listening to Coldplay's Fix You while reading this.

Thank you for sharing this! The Doctor's got a long way to go, and you didn't minimize what happened to him either. Hopefully with Jack by his side - whether he likes it or not - he'll be able to heal.

Okay so I read it again and to edit to add a couple of things. God, I'm shameless!

The Doctor's speech about being selfish stuck with me. In a lot of ways he could be considered selfish. I think he thinks he's selfish. This is also the man that just allowed gave his body to save a thousand people. This is the man who, on countless occasions, has given so much to save the planet, the universe, a space ship, to save whatever the hell he comes across, without so much as a thank you.

I'm in line to shake some sense into him after Jack!

Wow! Thanks for the mindblowing review!
I like writing the TARDIS as a thing with a personalily, but I cant see her actually talking to people. Besides, since she is a ship after all I believe her ways are kind of limited. Glad you approve.
huggabledog below wrote that the Doctor's sacrifice wasn't actually rape but more like prostitution for a noble cause. That's how the Doctor sees it, but naturally Jack could never accept that, and I in his place wouldn't either.
